Barely finished this book, after multiple thoughts of DNFing the book.

cute ya with a different kind of subject, but wasn't very engaging to me. i didn't really care about the love story at all, the volleyball and the friendships greer made with her teammates was much more interesting to me. i could see myself in some of greer's struggles with her big boobs, but some of it also didn't really make sense to me.

I was not really thinking when I picked this book. Otherwise, I would not have gotten it. The title alone would have been a good reason for me to give it a pass. Mostly because such titles lead to stories/writing that makes me cringe and uncomfortable.

All I knew when I got it was that I needed something to get me through the weekend. I started reading it on Saturday evening pretty sure I wasn't going to go far with it(because my brain cells were working and I had noticed the title)
Surprise, surprise I couldn't put it down. Four hours later I was done and a little teary after that last chapter.

This was amazing. It was inspiring and I was totally getting feminist vibes the entire time. I have started compiling a list of RECs for my future daughter. I don't know what number this will be placed in, but it will definitely feature in the list.
I still can't believe I got through a YA book that wasn't fantasy and one which was completely clean *gasp*.

Sometimes you just have to let them bounce! Ah high school...

I picked up this book because I related hard to the struggles Greer has in high school. Been there. Heard that. I developed super early and was barged with smart arse remarks by the immaturity of youngins. I read a review where someone said people don't talk like this... I assure you in my middle and high school they sure as heck did! One time the boys in the class were writing up a list rating the girls boobs by size... Very annoying. So yes I feel you Greer I really do.

My favorite people in this story were Jessa and Maggie. Those are two solid friends right there!

I knocked it a star for a few reasons. First, by the end I got tired of the hearing the word boobs! I thought it was strange that she personified them but people cope in different ways. Second, I just didn't feel the romance. Third, the mom really didn't mom. Greer's friends were a lot more supportive in helping her through her insecurities.

A heartfelt coming of age YA debut about a teen with extra large breasts who is uncomfortable with her body and struggles to fit in at school as a result. Great on audio, this was a moving read, equally funny and tender as we watch Greer learn to embrace her body just as it is with help from her volleyball teammates and a cute boy who's more interested in her than her chest.
