Reading a book requires time and trust. Trust that the author will be worth it and that you should dedicate yourself in reading the sequels (if there are any).

I read Senlin Ascends and I loved it. The world was amazing, the ringdoms were fascinating, the story had a good, simple catch. What the first book promised me was an adventure, exploration, new ringdoms and peculiar new things. It did not promise aerial piracy.

I was bummed out A LOT when I figured out that the crew would be moving with an airship from now on. The stakes changed, the feeling of the book changed and I wasnt a fan of it. It took me a LONG time to finish the book.

The last third of the book was very enjoyable though. But I cannot rate 1/3rd of a book.

Another fun adventure, but was more of a setup book and didn't have the resolution of the first book.
