Loved this book. Lots of great insights and well-paced. When I stop and think, nothing really brand new in this booked but I loved it.
Information was it was fine, I just didn't care for thr delivery/tone.
An unexpected 4.5 stars. It's a book everyone should read. It corrects many of our false assumptions about people and relationships and provides data to back it up.
Sometimes his humor is a little annoying, like "Say "MEEP-MEEP" and sprint away Road-Runner style as fast as you can." (pg 98) and "But what do you do if they are clinical level and you can't MEEP-MEEP?" (pg 101). However, I found most of his insights refreshing, and even if not new, rephrased in a way that makes one think a little differently about it.
I loved the story about Hector Cafferata (why haven't I heard of him before?) and all the stuff about friendships and friends being "another self" (never thought of it that way before).
I particularly enjoyed all the marriage and relationship info and about how every relationship has a story (and people who keep asking why they attract "jerks" are creating the story for themselves that they attract jerks!)
This book went down many unexpected paths for me, and there's so much more than what I've mentioned. Read it. You won't regret it.

A “forever friendship seeking teenager” inside me wishes she has read this book a long long time ago.
On the other hand, by not having any relationships manual around me, I had a privilege (!) to throughly test and explore my past friendships, failed and successful, to arrive at roughly similar conclusions that are stated in this book, backed up by science (Phew!) Now I can properly dedicate myself to the marriage experiments :).
Jokes aside, this was yet another straightforward, funny, easily digestible, and simple to put in practice book. My big compliments to Eric.
