Enjoyable and relatively quick read. Didn’t grip me as much as I had hoped, but Anna and Quan’s story was sweet and honestly the highlight.
Anna and her family drove me up a wall, and often felt like a losing battle. The proposal party chapters had me worked up enough that I needed to walk away for a bit 😂

Overall, a sweet story of self-discovery, personal growth, grief, and found family.

Okay, so maybe I shouldn’t have mentioned the fact that I wasn’t 100% emotionally invested in the previous one. I feel like Mrs heard me and was like “Oh really? Well here’s an entire book about two people pleasers falling in love and also about how tiring it is to try and be what others want you to be.” Like, ma’am, I’m already dead, stop stomping on me. And maybe I related a bit on the masking autism part but whatever.

This book. This book had me so full of feels. I was absolutely furious for Anna. The way her family treated her, and the way she felt trapped in her own mind, unable to say no, was devastating to sit through. I wanted to jump into the pages and shout NO for her! It was truly heartbreaking to see that no one would listen to her. Except Quan. Sweet, loving, caring Quan. What a journey he'd been through between the second book and this one. Quan was always one of my favorite characters, and while his story had a painful tinge in this book, it was still just perfectly him to be there for Anna and learn to trust himself again. This book made me feel so many things, and I just could not have loved it more.

This was what I needed in my current reading mood, with the book being fast paced! I had read other reviews that it was a bit different than the first 2 books and it is definitely more serious. For the second half of the book, the romance takes a major back seat. But I did still enjoy it! Mostly because I love Quan's character.

2nd book i read after a long reading slump. different from the other 2 books in this series but still very much enjoyable. a lot more tense and sad than the others but still amazing writing as always. anna’s journey was difficult to read as her journey in this book is very tense but her character development is amazing. again there is autism representation that helps me understand it a little more which i appreciate. overall a pretty easy read with a lot of character development :)
