If you want a "wtf just happened?", mind numbing book read Brother. This book will leave you feeling like a husk of a human and have you contemplating what you just read. The way Ania Ahlborn delivered the twist was absolutely gut-wrenching. This was a great way to start off my spooky season, TBR! I might add more thoughts later, but for now, I'm gonna go stare at a wall ๐Ÿ’€

A horror book novel that actually has a plot and is really well written. So many conflicting feelings as a reader because everyone's actions are so unforgiveable but Ahlborn's writing has so much depth it's hard to not feel sorry for the MC.

A gut punch of a novel that is gory, disturbing and gripping.

I admit though, I wasn't full drawn in until part way through. But, once it hooked me in, I white-knuckled the pages all the way to the twisted conclusion. And even though I guessed most of where things were going, the ending still left me feeling wide-eyed and shook.

I think what disturbed me most about this story of a serial killing family was how it could just as easily have been a true crime read. Chilling to think about!

Pretty good pace. Medium gore. Definitely fucked up. Plot twists were somewhat predictable but not completely obvious. It's a pretty good read; I would recommend it for those who are into horror.

This book took plot twist to a new level. It broke my heart, but was also surprisingly funny at times. It was pretty slow going to start, but once the twist is revealed towards the end, itโ€™s a jumble of a climax until the book is finished. I absolutely loved it.
