A horror book novel that actually has a plot and is really well written. So many conflicting feelings as a reader because everyone's actions are so unforgiveable but Ahlborn's writing has so much depth it's hard to not feel sorry for the MC.

Super solid read. It kept me engaged while I was reading it and overall enjoyed the plot! I did see part of it coming but it still somehow has shocking elements. Kinda an unsatisfying end but that’s just because I like things wrapped up a bit, but I get that’s cliche and probably bad writing. Overall, liked this one a lot!

A gut punch of a novel that is gory, disturbing and gripping.

I admit though, I wasn't full drawn in until part way through. But, once it hooked me in, I white-knuckled the pages all the way to the twisted conclusion. And even though I guessed most of where things were going, the ending still left me feeling wide-eyed and shook.

I think what disturbed me most about this story of a serial killing family was how it could just as easily have been a true crime read. Chilling to think about!

Pretty good pace. Medium gore. Definitely fucked up. Plot twists were somewhat predictable but not completely obvious. It's a pretty good read; I would recommend it for those who are into horror.

Really enjoyed that this book was able to be dark and twisted and straight up gross; without filling every page with torture corn! I was really surprised how much I liked and was rooting for one of the characters! This does have a lot of dark themes and was a bit predictable. I did have it figured out before the Galway mark. However I still think it was done creatively. Held my attention and made me want to keep turning the page! I will say this is NOT going to be for everyone!
