This graphic novel EXCEEDED my expectations! I was in awe of the illustrations, dark themes, and use of magic. I’ve already more books illustrated by Jo Rioux to my library holds and would highly recommend this one (especially if you enjoy folklore, sorcery, and siren-like women who lure men to their demise).

I read this entire story while my nephew was taking a nap. I couldn’t put it down until I finished. This story of the two daughters/sisters was so captivating and I felt like I was a part of the storytelling. I highly recommend reading The Daughters of Ys.
