3.5 estrellas. Una historia muy melancólica y rara, entre drama-terror. Pronto una reseña :)

I listened to the audio version of The Accident Season. I thought the story was addictive, and enjoyed the elements of magical realism, though sometimes that is also what confused me.

In terms of plot, there wasn't a ton going on, just movement towards the end to get to the reason why everything happens.

Loved it, though it's definitely not the best book out there. But it was the perfect choice for this time of the year.

This isn't a stellar book by any means but still, I enjoyed the creepiness.

Rounding down from 3.5

I liked the atmosphere and the premise of the book. I was a little troubled by some of the character relationships, as well as the way everything played out in the end. I don't want to spoil anything for anyone. I will say, it's worth the read. Just not what I expected.

The Accident Season is a surreal take on the mental and physical wounds we inflict knowingly or not upon ourselves. It is the embodiment of secrets held close for far too long, finally unraveling with an ever quickening pace during the current accident season.
Sisters Cara and Alice, along with their (ex)step-brother Sam and Cara's best friend Bea will begin to unravel the events that lead to the accident season years ago, releasing themselves from their secrets in the process. Creepy and dreamlike a true joy to read. I look forward to reading more in the future. Highly recommend.
