I love these Curran POV's. It's so good to get his side of scenes we've already experienced from Kate's POV, and in a way, this was even more of a treat because this was actually a conversation we had never been privy to.

Nice to see how much conviction Curran had with regards to Kate being his mate. There's no changing that man's mind where she is concerned!

I love reading Curran's POV and this excerpt was very insightful. He loves her, she's his and he'll protect her no matter what..end of story! LOVE!! <3

I love reading anything in Curran's point of view, no surprise there. And there are tons of scenes I look back on after I read the Kate Daniel's series thinking I really wanted that scene in Curran's point of view or that one in his point of view. Basically I have tons I want and I was really excited to get this one after I remembered Kate making a comment about if Curran had a talk with Jim in MAGIC SLAYS.

And it was a scene I really wanted! And was happy to get it. I am so happy that Team Ilona writes these Curran point of view scenes because we love getting scene from the hero's point of view as well. To sum everything up I loved it as well as devoured it and it only made me realize again that the next Kate Daniels book comes out 2013. Fuck.

"Here kitty, kitty, kitty."
Oh my god. She was an imbecile, and I was going to kill Jim.

Kate's Origin

This one is a little bit different, b/c it takes place in between books (Magic Strikes and Magic Bleeds). Jim comes to Curran about a week before the naked dinner with some information he's gathered about Kate . . .

KATE'S ORIGIN (Between Magic Strikes & Magic Bleeds, Kate Daniels #4): "It's like King Arthur, but Lancelot is a butcher and Guinevere is knocked up."
Big spoiler. Do yourself a favour and don't read this before Magic Strikes.

Read as part of the Curran POV Collection, full review here.

Re-read in June 2016.

You can find the collection for free on Ilona Andrews' website. Read in order, after the respective main books of the Kate Daniels series. Don't jump ahead, you will spoil yourself!

This is the short-story where Jim tells Curran about Kate's background. It was pretty interesting...
