This was a light, quick, hilarious comedy of teenage errors. Even the best plans can be foiled by a cat

Thank GOD this had multiple narrators. I don’t ask for much in life. This was so awkward but I couldn’t look away, especially from Julia and Alex’s stories. Everyone’s POVs were so funny and interesting that you kinda root for everyone. They’re such a wholesome friend group and I loved all of them.

If you want a book that you don’t need to think about much, this is it.

If my friends and I ever made a sex pact, it would be like this.

Audiobook. Two stars might be generous. Young adult. Read by multiple readers, which I typically like. A group of teenagers make a pact to have sex on prom night, what can go wrong? I kept listening, thinking there was going to be a point but mostly I felt like there was no point to this book, at least in this adult’s perspective.

***Thank you to NetGalley for providing a copy of this book for me to read and review***

This was a really fun read! There was a nice variety of characters who all had different yet interesting stories. As it seems from the other reviews, I am not in the minority when I say that I liked Alex and Leah's story line the best.

Although it definitely bordered on awkward more than once, I thought Julia and Kevin's story was also good. You don't often see depictions of sex in high school in which both parties are informed, fully consenting, and actively trying to make it a good experience while still having difficulties. It is important to show that what she was feeling isn't normal, and young women shouldn't accept it as part of the experience.

There were a lot of really cute, funny moments. I actually laughed out loud more than once (the elf roleplay and Alex returning Bulldog comes to mind).

Some of the characters were more annoying than not, and I was less invested in some of the stories, but it was still a good read for me!

Well that was a waste of time. What a terrible, tedious book. The characters were so flat and obnoxious, they had nothing going for them and I cared so little. It felt like the author was trying too hard to write a "funny, relatable" novel, when in reality it was bland and boring.

Wish I could find something good to say about it but it honestly just fell flat with me.
