This is the first time I felt like I was 100% in Virgil Flowers universe instead of eating Lucas Davenport's leftovers.

love this series. Can't wait for a new one. Virgil is a hoot and a bit of a soft touch but he's a good cop.

The narrator on his series always does a really nice job.

Same old wonderful Virgil Flowers....clever and funny and smart. This one seemed to drag a bit, though. I do love the way that Sandford adds the perspective of the antagonist/s as well as the protagonist, but much of this seemed repetitive and unnecessary.....or maybe it was just my mood as I listened will I drove.....

That f'ing Flowers is tied in my affection with Lucas Davenport.
