Adorei a forma como foi escrito, o género “entrevista” acho que casou muito bem com o tipo de história que a TJR estava a tentar contar. Ela tem sempre este fim de fazer com que as personagens parecerem que existem mesmo na vida real.

Not for me.

I feel like I was reading a different book to everyone else who raved about the epic romance and intense feelings.

Everyone in kept talking about Billy and Daisy's relationship, Billy made a whole speech about how the same things that made him burn made Daisy's burn etc but we saw NONE of this?? It was a lot of telling the audience there were all these things going on but zero demonstration. The format didn't help but there were still ways it could have been done.

Daisy isn't the kind of character I enjoy.

The book kept trying to make out like Eddie was an unreasonable asshole but he was the only one who ever called Billy out on anything while they others just stood by and took it.

Billy Dunne, you can choke.

The two stars are for the supporting characters, who were unfortunately very underdeveloped.

What a slog to get through. The show certainly seems to be fleshing things out better.

I want to hear these songs!
Was more interested in the side characters tbh.
Might try the audiobook sometime.

Not obsessed with this book. I was kinda bored and just wanted it to be over, was not grabbing for it. Good story and I liked the characters. Didn’t love the “oral history” way it was told although the different perspectives was interesting. Everyone was obsessed so who knows.

What an experience !
I’ve never listened to an audiobook like this.

It felt super authentic and it covered so many themes about live and addiction.
Some wonderful lines - gems on life

I don’t know if it’s my typical 5 star but it was an experience so it became a 5 star!

I do judge books by their covers, which is why I wasn't going to read this, but I'm SO glad I did. It's one of the most engaging books I've read in a long time.
