Set in the four corners part of the southwest, this novel featured archeology and some interesting Native American characters. The book read pretty quickly and described an archeological dig in progress, and native Americans interacting with each other and with white people.
There was some very serious controversy and conflict around the archeological digging. I didn’t think the novelist showed the reasons for the controversies well enough, and overall writing quality was not so good. But I am interested in reading more novels about southwest Native Americans.
