I know this is a classic, but I've had to read it SO many times for classes throughout high school and college that I just got sick of it and therefore associate it with negative feelings. Nevertheless, Twain is a world-renowned author for many reasons, and his ability to embed sophisticated topics into the story of a boy named Huck Finn is one of them.

The novel is set in the antebellum South and follows the adventures of a young boy named Huckleberry Finn as he travels down the Mississippi River with an escaped slave named Jim. Along the way, they encounter a variety of characters, including con artists and people of different social classes, and face many challenges as they try to reach freedom. The novel is a humorous and often satirical commentary on American society, especially the treatment of African Americans and the realities of slavery. It also explores themes of morality, friendship, and the search for identity. Through Huck's journey, the novel portrays the growth of a young boy as he learns to challenge societal norms and make his own decisions based on his own sense of right and wrong. Overall, "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" is considered a classic of American literature and is widely read and studied today.
--------------------
"The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" is a novel written by Mark Twain and published in 1884. The story is narrated by Huckleberry Finn, a young boy from Missouri, who runs away from his abusive father and embarks on a journey down the Mississippi River with a runaway slave named Jim.

The novel explores themes of freedom, racism, morality, and the corrupting influence of society. Huck and Jim encounter a variety of people and situations as they travel down the river, including con artists, feuding families, and slave hunters. Huck is forced to confront his own prejudices and assumptions about race as he comes to know and care for Jim, who he initially views as a mere property.

The novel's climax revolves around Huck's decision to help Jim escape slavery, even though he knows it is illegal and morally ambiguous. Huck ultimately decides to follow his own conscience rather than the dictates of society, and the novel ends with him contemplating the possibility of a new life free from the constraints of his past.

"The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" is celebrated for its vivid depiction of life on the Mississippi River and its exploration of complex social and ethical issues. The novel has been the subject of controversy and censorship over the years due to its use of racial slurs and its unflinching portrayal of racism in the South. Nevertheless, it remains a classic of American literature and a testament to the power of storytelling to challenge and inspire readers.

This was a required book to read for school, so of course, it wasn't that enjoyable, but it wasn't the worst thing I have ever read. The book is so old that audiobook is a must-have. Like the dialect is so hard to read. Also, the book jumps around A LOT and so many unneeded things happened. But it is an old book, so I get that. But it wasn't that bad of a book.
I am planning on rereading it completely using audiobook before the test over it lmao
