It's not terrible, and the idea of this speed-dating at a cafe for supernatural beings is a cute idea, enough to make me want to continue the series. The scenes at the cafe were fun, but the romance came all too fast, that it was kinda boring when they near immediately hooked up. The beginning had focused on Chloe's job as an investigator, specifically with a difficult murder case. I thought that would come up again, maybe be important, but no. Just set dressing. I was seeing some reviews say that the characters are a direct copy of the show Lucifer, but I haven't seen the show, and know next to nothing about it. Something to consider if you choose to read this, though.

Also, "swollen nubbin" is a terrible and unsexy phrase. Wtf.

Interesting concept but it all went a bit too fast.

This is a very creative twist on mythology, is has a very loose basis of what we know and put a unique twist on it. Overall this is a very fun read that is well written. I enjoyed following Lucifer and Chloe's story. I did feel like there was something missing put can't quite point it out. This is an exciting read and great introduction to the Speed Dating with the Deinzens of the Underworld series.

Now, I like the series’ concept so far that the authors have done for this world. This series includes all those sexy paranormal beings we all love in stories; demons, vampires, shifters, etc. I know I love all things supernatural. The denizens of the Underworld find their fated mates, too. Yes, sign me up because everyone deserves love, even the ones who live and work in the Underworld, such as Lucifer.

Overall this book was an okay read for me, which meant it only received three stars. Just because it was an okay read for me does not mean someone else may not enjoy and love it. I know other readers may enjoy this story more than I did. Will I check out Gina Kincade and Ezrabet Bishop’s other books? Most definitely, yes.

Standalone/Part of Series: It’s part of the Speed Dating with Denizens of the Underworld series, but each can be read as a standalone.

Trope(s): Fated Mates; Instant-Love/Attraction

Would I recommend this book? Yes. If you enjoy PNR, check out this book/series.

Lmao if you're gonna write a story about Lucifer then at least be original.
