This is the first book I've read by this author and I don't think it'll be the last. This is a short, steamy, sweet read about Jamir and Emmy.

More to Love is an extremely sweet novella. Jamir and Emmy are two guys you really wanted to cheer for their individual happy endings and the one with them together. Their integration into each other's lives and excitement to share their budding romance with their family and friends felt so real and also gave us other characters that would make delightful follow-ups.
I adored how Emmy's plus-sized body was described and sexually wanted (in a non-fetishized) way by Jamir. However, I did want a little more from Emmy about his desire for Jamir.
A little more development felt needed for the bigger emotional beats of Jamir's decision around his bookstore, the jump scare of Emmy's ex-wife, and getting to an "I love you" moment. This is so hard to do in a novella.
Emmy's ex-wife showing up was the biggest leap of all those things. While we're in a made-up town in Texas, Orange County, CA, is very far away from anywhere in Texas. If she lived in the same city, sure, but not a 1,200-mile trip! It took me out of the story.
Her thinking Emmy was joking (or not serious) when he told her he was bi is a real experience for so many bi men in relationships with cis women. Big kudos to Kiersten for including that moment.
Overall, this was super cozy and engaging, and I read it in one swoop. I'm looking forward to more books by Kiersten.

Being a short book, it had the necessary components in my eyes to believe these couples love each other.
Though I would have loved the book to be longer, I still had a good time. It was a quick, sort of spicy read with a few touching moments.

Short and steamy grumpy/sunshine romance with a meet cute set in one of my favorite places…a bookstore! This is a novella but is packed full of heat and feelings. I love that the underlying message is about identifying and seeking out your joy even if that means pivoting from what you expected your life to look like. Representation includes: Black mmc, Korean mmc, bisexual mmc’s, fat mmc, sapphic side characters, aro side character.
