You definitely need to read it! It’s such a well built story. I especially liked the characters and how it never went down the cliche lane. Every time when there would be a scene you’d expect to know the outcome of, BAM it changes gears. I love that about this book.
Additionally, the POV is so well written, everything that happened to the main character was felt by me as if I was the character. I felt every pain, shock, love, surprise, frustration damn everything. It was surreal. YOU NEED TO READ IT!!!

this was pleasantly surprising. it was very fast paced, some twists & turns, and i enjoyed the romantic tension. i recommend!!

I was BLOWN AWAY by this book from the very first line. I thought Alessandra’s character was so fiesty and how she played off of Kallias’ broody attitude was perfection. I also thoroughly enjoyed how Tricia weaved in the mysteries of the jewel thief and royal assassinations. Overall, an exceptional read that I never wanted to put down!

After reading 167 books this year I was in a reading slump and THIS ONE PERFECTLY PULLED ME OUT OF IT!!! I absolutely loved every second of it and read it in less than a day. I couldn’t put it down. I enjoyed reading a female main character with a darker background and her and Kallias as soooo swoon worthy and the perfect match. It was an easy read and simple but exciting and exactly what I needed.
