I went into this story blind and my, what a moving and heartwarming story! This is a story of how a family pulled together through their dark days and how much they mattered to each other.

This story follows Frank and Sarah Saer who are in their 80s just trying to make the most of their remaining lives together until one day, Sarah had to be hospitalised due to a heart attack. That was the moment Frank realised how much he still loves Sarah to this day and how much he doesn’t want to lose her. Thankfully, Sarah survived but her strength is waning. Frank made it a point to take care of her and support her through her recovery just like how Sarah had supported him by being a selfless mother to their children and being his best friend and number one supporter throughout his life. Can Frank find the strength and courage to walk with Sarah one last time?

I really love how Frank and Sarah’s relationship is portrayed here. Their love and support for each other is very heartwarming even after they are old and grey. There were times where Sarah had wanted to give up her fight but Frank kept pushing her on but there were also times where Frank felt discouraged and lost, on the verge of giving up himself. During those times, he would find strength through his memories with Sarah and all that they have been through together. It made me wonder if I could find that same strength one day if ever I was in Sarah or Frank’s position.

This is definitely a story filled with love and strength, tough decisions one has to make for their loved ones and most of all, learning to find hope when hope is frail. Thank you Netgalley and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for the arc.
