This was a cute story about Alice, a matchmaker, and Clay, a rancher. They had an instant chemistry that seemed natural, and Clay was honest about wanting to be with Alice. I always enjoy Jaci Burton's books. Looking forward to more in the series!

Thank you to NetGalley for the advanced copy!

This was a cute holiday romance novella, and I liked the atmosphere of it, but unfortunately, this was just way too insta lovey. This book would have been better as a full length novel and it would have been a lot more believable. The ending was just way too convenient and ridiculous.

I have to admit that I’ve never read any of Jaci Burton’s books before, but man, did she hook me with her new holiday novella.

Matchmaker’s Mistletoe Mission was the perfect blend of holiday and romance. Matchmaker Alice Weatherford flies to Oklahoma from LA to be maid-of-honor at her best friend’s wedding. She wasn’t expecting a crazy snowstorm, and she definitely wasn’t expecting to meet rancher Clay Henry.

When the sparks start flying between Clay and Alice, she questions everything. This novella has a great ending that jabs you in the feels.

And holy crap- did I mention Burton brought the spice? Definite heat. I don’t know why I wasn’t expecting that, but I wasn’t. As things got steamier, I found myself mumbling shocked expletives and refusing to get back to real life until I was done reading.

I’d definitely give this a solid 3.5 stars, and I’m looking forward to seeing this cast of characters again as the Boots and Bouquets series kicked off. The first full length book in the series, The Best Man Plan, is slated for a May release, so be sure to snag this novella to satisfy those holiday TBRs and prep for what’s to come!

The Matchmaker's Mistletoe Mission introduces readers to Jaci Burton's new Boots and Bouquets Series. With a short Christmas themed novella featuring Oklahoma rancher Clay and LA matchmaker Alice. Who is visiting Oklahoma to help ensure everything is ready for her best friends Christmas wedding at the Bellini family vineyard. And there's no denying it was a sweet, engaging, if gentle tale. Which I certainly enjoyed. Only the main characters and setting didn't quite excite me as much as I was anticipating. Still, it was an easy, very low angst, nicely paced story. And the festive theme was a good way to introduce these characters. So I'll be sure to look out for the first book in the series when it's released.

This book was really cute but the timing was off. I knew it was a novella going into it but the whole thing still felt really rushed. I wish it had been a bit longer so that we could've seen more of our MCs apart before they became a thing.

Regardless, the setting was refreshing and adorable. All of the background characters really helped our MCs grow and brought a lot to the narrative. It seems we'll be seeing a lot more of them in the coming series.

Overall, it was a sweet and cute holiday romance. It just seemed like the story was on 1.5x speed and I couldn't quite catch my breath.

*I received a complimentary copy of this book from Intermix through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.*

Alice, a matchmaker, is in a small town in Oklahoma to help plan her BFFs wedding when she gets snowed in along with Clay—a very good looking rancher. She decides to fight off her attraction to him by finding him a love, but he only has eyes for her.

This is a cute, quick, spicy, Christmas Novella.
