This volume is all backstory, but it’s kind of important. It’s not necessary per say, but it does fill in some gaps, while not revealing everything. It’s alright, but I’m ready to get back to the present and find Lizzie.

This was the most surprising plot twist, I am so glad I started to read the manga. I would have never predicted what happened.

This truly has me so intrigued I have never blasted through volumes so fast. This is truly the biggest revelation of the series to date. So many questions leave me going straight to the next volume.

dark mysterious sad
From the pieces of Ciel's backstory we've gotten before, I knew it was finna be dark...but this might just be the most brutal, violent, heart wrenching, disgusting, twisted, depressing thing I've read. The abuse and suffering the twins and the other children went through, all at the hands of regular, perverted people. Despite the supernatural elements in this story, the real monsters are always human.
Sebastian was downright chilling here. There's been hints that maybe he really has grown to care for Ciel, even if it's a crumb, but after this I highly doubt it.
Dog Sebastian he tried to save the unnamed twin RIP king 😭😭
And how am I
supposed to believe the real Ciel is back in the game after being eviscerated???

It was interesting to see how exactly Sebastian became under the employ of Ciel though really no matter what I am always going to see Sebastian as adorable no matter if he is a demon or not LOL
