I’ve always hated the S*n and this book just gave me even more reasons to hate it and be angry at it. What an awful excuse for a “news source”. This book covered off a good range of examples and had some humour in it.

I wish that I believed in a higher power just for the belief that one day Rupert Murdock will have to answer for all the hate and bile he’s responsible for. Sadly, I’m certain that he never will

I feel lucky that this paper was a feature in my home growing up, but despite my parents never reading or buying it, I was surprised how many of the headlines referenced were familiar, they had seemed into general discourse so much.
I also hadn't fully realised just how much of a toxic sewer of the most degrading forms of hate filled prejudice and misogyny filled it's pages. Every single prejudice against every possible marginalized group is gleefully imparted to the readers.
It is completely the epitome of the right wing extremist mindless bigotry that is now at the forefront today in the likes of Trump, Fox News, religious extremists, anti vaxxers and all those similar groups. It's saddening that they judge the mood of the UK so well so often, as well as help to actively stir in those directions and then feed of what they've created.
As mentioned at the end, from being the most popular and widely circulated paper in the UK, it is beginning to slip from it's thrown, but only so the next hate filled rag surges ahead to take it's place.

Hilarious and yet terrifying that people actually take The Sun seriously.
