I have never seen a book try harder to be relevant. It was shouting pop cultural references at me and not letting them in naturally as they would occure. I admit I downloaded a sample of this book, and probably did so based on the cover. Then I accidentally bought it, one click on kindle for way too much money. It was an all around fail. I regret it.

This was fun! Revenge of the assistants. It did make me think of 9 to 5 - a film I love. We don't have student loan issues in Australia like they do in the US so I couldn't totally relate to Tina and the gang. Also, $20k doesn't seem like such a debilitating debt to me - but perhaps I am missing something. This book could have opened up to broader social commentary and satire but seemed determined to be a fun light read. Which is fine and certainly what I was in the mood for but I think Perri rushed the plot. A fun read of work revenge fantasies being played out - and funny.

Devil meets Prada with a twist. Light and fluffy chick lit. A nice listen for a saturday.

Lightweight palate cleanser. Pretty predictable and not as serious as it (at times) strives to be, but entertaining enough to keep me reading.
