Buckle up, buttercup, because this one’s got a SH*T TON of baggage to unpack. Definitely look at the content warnings before reading. It’s definitely the most emotional book of the series so far. I didn’t think we’d get quite the close up on Damon’s past as we did, but it definitely explains why he is the way he is. Having Winter be blind was a choice. I got annoyed pretty quickly at the amount of times her not being able to see was used as a terror tactic. And I was really curious how the two of them were going to have a happy ending, all things considered. Overall, I liked it more than the second book, but not quite as much as the first.

Another 0 stars, another book of three spoiled brats terrorizing yet another innocent girl , at this point the plot is how dumb can these horseshits be
I was told this book was supposed to redeem Damon and not gonna lie, his backstory was heartbreaking , but how is he better when he himself grew up to SA women ?? His own sister??? But it's okay his defense he didn't know she's his sister when he decided to grope and force kiss her 🙄 that's the stupid excuse the penelope douglas cult give him each time the SA topic is brought up in this series ( heavely ) and he books in general ,because god forbid we criticize an author

I don't know why I like this series.  Damon was a horrible guy and I really didn't see any redemption for him that I could be satisfied with but he may be my favorite character now.  Totally selfish unless you are his people.   He had to have super special love and Winter was perfect. I loved how he treated her disability as a non issue, he let her truly live.  I am really liking the growth of all the charcters, the town story line of wealth and intrigue and I am super excited to finish with Will's story.

“Nothing was a lie.”

Surprisingly, once I came to terms with the term “dark romance” and got past all the horrible and questionable behaviours, this wasn’t bad. I did quite like the flow of the story, of course it was extremely problematic in a sense. It was Beth toxic too obviously, but I ate After up like nobody’s business so I’m not one to complain.

Winter. I liked winter. A lot. She’s proof that strength and capability is truly in the will of a person. I loved her passion for dance and I truly loved The way she perceived things.

Damon. I hated him in the first 2, now I can’t help but love him. I am an advocate for healing past trauma and not using trauma as an excuse to be a douche but Damon. I can’t even begin. Please be warned that Kill Switch delves into the darker and very detailed parts of Damon’s abuse as a child.

My issues:

- the Misogynist tendencies obviously
- slutshaming
- glorification of trauma (in a sense)

Did I love it? Maybe not, but I did like it.
