I’m really glad that I started this one, I had been putting it off since I read the Ruthless Boys series in April to give myself a little break. But it’s been interesting seeing more of Darkmore and experiencing Rosa as a main character instead of a random side one. As usual, those Night boys just get to me, but I hope Roary gives up on his bs soon and gives in. I also adore Ethan.

It’s like Zodiac Academy (1&2) and the Fae series were the entertaining but slightly editorially flawed pregame. Now, as readers, we’ve arrived to the party and I’m so here for it. I have no complaints. Zero. Continue as is. It’s got a strong female lead who I can’t wait to watch her evolve into her powers and past her arrogance. I’m not even mad about the love Interests. Things are so twisted by the end that I’m almost dreading continuing this series. Lack of even plot development, character development, and editing seen in some of their previous series have been amended and I’m so excited to see where it goes next.

I have been on a twisted sisters world of Solaria kick and man am I loving it. I read all of Zodiac Academy straight through as fast as I could. Then all of Ruthless Boys of the Zodiac. Now I’m into Darkmore Penitentiary. And man do I love it in Solaria. I’m so attached to all these intertwining characters it’s insane.

Seeing Rosalie as a kid in RB, and then as a teenager in ZA, and now as a badass alpha woman in DP? Crazy. Hard to believe it’s all the same girl. She’s been through so much since she was born, way more than her precious and fierce heart deserved, but it’s made her one tough bitch and I love her for it. She is giving these men a run for their money and it is so much fun to watch. I can’t wait to see where we go with this!

Sin Wilder is so much freaking fun I can’t wait to see more of him, especially his POV chapters. And seeing Roary again after what happened in RB is nice, I’ve been worried about him poor thing. Cain is my typical book boyfriend but I need him to let go of his hardass exterior and show my girl some more love. And Ethan and the whole moon mate bond is just freaking amazing I love a fated mates/bond type of thing!!! Ahhhh I can’t wait for the next book.

Hooked like I knew I would be

I have loved all the twisted sisters books and I just knew I would get sucked into this series too.

Read this after Ruthless Boys and Zodiac Academy for sure. Major spoilers in this book if you read it first.

I am a big fan of prison break story lines and I love the crossover characters that are involved in this one. Great chemistry with the multiple love interests and intense plot. The ending was fitting for these authors (IYKYK) but I felt it was actually perfect for the first book.

Loved this book! Might be my favorite plot so far in the world of Solaria. Rosa is bad ass, Roary is a babe, Ethan is my dream (and the only Cancer zodiac we’ve been introduced to), Cain keeps things interesting, and Sin is insane. Great characters, cool concept, excited for book 2!

FAVORITE QUOTES

But I was of another breed. People did what I wanted because they could sense the strength in my veins and the force of my will before I even parted my lips. They wanted to follow me. They didn’t just have to because I’d beaten them into submission. And you couldn’t buy loyalty like that. But I could sure as hell prove I deserved it.

Dante’s mamma called me a live wire and my pack called me a free spirit. But Dante was the only one who called it like it was. When I was thirteen years old, he’d caught me diving off of the cliff out by the flooded mine in Jerrytown. My Werewolf Order had Emerged by then so I was able to shift, but as Fae didn’t have their magic Awakened until we turned eighteen, I hadn’t had any real chance of surviving if the water had turned out to be shallower than I’d thought. So when Dante caught me with his air magic while I was only half way down the cliff, he’d cursed and threatened me, promised to banish me from the pack and make me into an Omega if I ever did something so foolish alone again… And then he’d jumped from the cliff right beside me. Because my cousin might have been responsible for the safety and well-being of our entire Clan, but he was also a straight up badass and the only Fae I knew who really understood me.

You’re wild, Rosa. And you’d better make sure no one ever tames you.

“Why did you come back for me?” she breathed as she broke the kiss. I brushed my fingers up her neck until my thumb caressed the crescent moon behind her ear. “Because you’re mine, love. Not even death can take you from me if I decide against it.”

My boy, it’s time you became a man. My father gave me this book as a cub, and it helped transform me into the Lion I am today. I hope it can do the same for you, son. The Nights can’t shine without stars. Always aim to be the brightest one in our sky. All my love, Dad x

Holy Feck.

This book is dark and delicious.

I am currently reading these Solarian novels in publication order as to get the full picture and clues left by our Sinister Author Duo.

Rosalie is the star of this series and she is a hoot. Always using her feminine wiles to her advantage and always being looked at as an under dog....seeing her thrive in her element is awe inspiring to watch (in my brain as I read).

We learn more about her past and upbringing with Felix. And holy crap I hate him as much as Lionel. Dante is also featured in this book and so is Leo. Ugh Leo is my favourite.

In this series we are seeing Rosalie being interested and using Ethan of the Lunar Brotherhood (arch rivals in all of life), Cain a sexy vampire guard of Darkmore, Sin the Incubus that oozes sexual appeal and Roary ( in my opinion the inferior Night to Leo...but still delicious).

Darkmore sucks. It's terrible. It does not sound like a fun time, and yet reading Rosalie being in this craptastic place and finding some bits of happiness really made me happy. I must also be very emotional because this novel made me cry and I don't think the authors intended on that (too much).

I was so nervous about leaving the Zodiac Academy series to venture to the two spin off series, but I am so glad that I am reading this novels this way. The anticipation, the heart pumping adrenaline as I'm reading cannot be matched. The Evil Sisters are AMAZING writers and I cannot get enough of their characters.

Cain is my favourite out of the new character introduced in this series. I am a sucker for a vampire *shrugs*.

This novel also leaves you so depressed and needing to know more, that I will be diving into the next novel shortly. However, that seems to be a Zodiac book so as much as I want to know what will happen next with these characters My OG Girls are calling ...even though the last novel gave me the biggest book slump I have been in in years.

PICK UP THESE NOVELS !!
