Now I feel this series has gotten into its stride, another very enjoyable case with an interesting array of characters. I did see one or two of the twists coming. I love the atmosphere of these books, the places and people both brig it alive, the good sounds rather scrumptious too.

I am curious to see how Bruno's love life develops from here. Certainly will be a tangle I think.

A series set in rural France that is about small village life with a mystery or two thrown in. The series is a fantastic example of literary realism where the smallest detail of country life is interesting to read as are the richly drawn characters. I finished this book 2 books ago so I'm no longer sure exactly what the plot is, not that it matters much as I'm reading this series like I'm binge watching a show, all the stories run together and you must read it as a series. Suffice it to say I'm a big fan of Bruno, the supporting characters, the cooking, the wine and French village life.
