This was such a fun/sexy way to start the series! Since it's a prequel I read it first and I'm already in love with Maddy and Aegis! The forbidden romance and promise of secrets to be discovered draws you in and makes you want to sit down and finish the whole series.

A nice quick intro into the series. Pretty much just setting up the characters and world, it was a fun fast read and makes me more intrigued to start the series.

I'm super interested to see what mischief the cjinn gets into!

I received a copy of this book for review.
Blood Music by Yasmine Galenorn is a Bewitching Bedlam Novelette and in this book we are introduced to several new characters in a new magic filled world. In this book we meet a fun-loving witch Maddy Gallowglass, her cjinn Bubba and her friend Sandy a fellow witch. Maddy is tired of living her condo where she has to live by so many rules and constantly watched by her cheating ex Craig. So one day while having a girl’s night with her friend Sandy they decide that it’s time for a change. Sandy shows her a house that is for sale in Bedlam and tells her she should go for it because it would bring her the changes that she is looking for and wanting in her life and it will get her away from her ex and infuriate him which is just an added bonus. So she gets another friend of hers to show her the place, sells her condo and moves. What she doesn’t expect to find in her house is the vampire living downstairs in her basement. But that is just the beginning of where things start getting interesting.
Now I am a huge fan of Yasmine Galenorn and this book/novelette does not disappoint at all. It’s short, sweet and gives you just enough to want to know more about these new characters and what’s going to be happening with them as Maddy works on getting the house in order so that she can start a bed and breakfast. I love the unique story of Aegis of how he came to be a Fallen (vampire). I absolutely like that Maddy has issues with the various people that she hires to take care of certain tasks around the house and how they don’t handle it completely like they should. For me these problems just add to the story adding more relatability to it and even adding some humor because so many people can relate to these issues themselves.
I honestly like the sense of connection between Aegis and Maddy because it adds some mystery and depth to the story giving you something to look forward to as you delve deeper with the next. Well, I’m hoping that it will be delved into further in the next books in the series. I would have liked to know how she came across having Bubba, a cjinn, because he doesn’t seem like a creature that you’d come across just walking down the street but I absolutely love Bubba already I have to say.
I am giving this book 5 out of 5 stars. I really enjoyed it and found it hard to put down and cannot wait to read the next book in this series. The story is well written and well done in my opinion. It’s engaging, fun and has lots of elements that draw you in and make it truly bewitching. If you are a fan of Yasmine Galenorn then I definitely say get this book and prepare to be drawn in and left wanting more eagerly anticipating the next book in this series. Two thumbs up for sure.

Maddy is a depressed witch that is fighting to find herself after a failed marriage to a man that was mentally abusive. She buys an old mansion in Bedlam with the intention of making a bed and breakfast. What she didn't expect was to find a dangerous guest living in the basement.

I love Yasmine Galenorn's work and I look forward to read more of the Bewitching Bedlam series. I highly recommend all of her books.

Bewitching indeed...

What do you get when you mix up a cjinn, a witch, a vampire, and a ghost? A fabulous new series that I can't wait to continue reading!
