This book has me sliding down the wall, throwing up, sobbing, cursing the gods and manifesting a love as pure as the ones in this book all at the same time. I legit went through the 5 stages of grief so if you read it buckle up besties for the emotional roller coaster that Julie Kagawa straps you on and refuses to let you off until the rides over, no matter how may times you pass out from overwhelm. I may never recover from this book and I have to be ok with that.

I'm smiling like an idiot right now. That ending... it was all so perfect. The begging, the end everything was something. I felt so much emotions through all this trilogy and I'm so glad this book was the best one to close an amazing YA fantasy series. I must repeat that I really loved everything. And I can't say much because I don't want to do any spoiler but... damn. I didn't expect anything that happened, and I'm just so glad that everything fitted correctly to make my heart bump like crazy and... You just need to read this book.

3.5

I am rating this a 3.5 adding around a star more than I actually feel about the book. Listening to it, I was unfortunately beset with projects that took all my attention and I had to go back constantly to re listen to portions over and over. This is not the books fault. All that said, I didnt really enjoy the conclusion to this series or the events that brought us there. Once the action started it simply never ended, and it got boring because of it.  The ending did not satisfy me in the least. I don't mean it wasn't a realistic end, it was, or that things didn't get wrapped up neatly, they were. Its just that for me, I would have picked a different path, still realistic and still neatly finished.

Much better than the second book, but on average not as good as the first. It was, nonetheless, an immensely satisfying conclusion. The stakes were high, and the feels I got were real. The moment the battle started (which was somewhere around the midway point, I believe), there was just such a quality again to the story. The ending was beautiful, too. I normally do not favour neatly tied-up endings, but this one was just excellent, so enticing.

Looooved the book-hangover it gave me. For anyone disappointed in the second book, I would recommend still trying the third. For me, it delivered.
