Had to skim to finish

I enjoyed book 1 a lot!! Book 2 seemed to drag more and it was always like the timings didn’t add up. A week would be mentioned and a month and the didn’t quite match with the storyline. That was very aggravating...especially with this 3rd book. And there were way too many threats. I just didn’t enjoy this one as much. It got to the point of just finishing the series so I can say I did and not because I enjoyed it anymore.

This was just okay. It kind of felt like so much random wild shit was happening lol. So much so that it feels like a lot was left on the table and not circled back to here. I skimmed through a lot of this story because it just felt written in a very childish tone. I"m happy for Kandy and Cane that they got their happy ever after. I'm also happy that we didn't have to witness fertility-related issues for Kandy in any extreme sense. I"m happy we just ended with them engaged, that felt right.

Cane and Kandy

2.5 stars

Well, Cane and Kandy get their HEA, but it won’t be my favorite of the trilogy. The plot was a bit messy and there was too much stuff I didn’t really care about. Everyone was having the same conversation over and over again.

I loved this book so much, simply because it was completely different to the first two books.

The first 100 pages completely BROKE ME and I was holding on by a thread.

But, as I continued to read on, my heart was healed and my soul was made new.

Was so close to tears when Kandy and Cane had that special moment in Chapter 18 and OMG he was SO SWEET and so kind to her.

SPOLIER QUOTE:

“I take you as you are, Kandy. With or without scars. With or without babies. With or without tears. It changes nothing for me, and I mean it. I still love you the same.”

The rest of the speech is long and beautiful but I had to put part of it here because this speech was not only so heartwarming but it was also so important.

At the start of the series, the relationship between Kandy and Cane was arguably, lustful.

However as the series progresses, we see that there is more to their relationship than lust.

Their relationship and the feelings they have for one another blossoms into love.

This book completely proves that, and Cane’s speech in Chapter 18 confirms it.

URGH THIS BOOK WAS EVERYTHING.

4.75 stars. A magnificent read.

Definitely my favorite book of the series! There’s so much heartbreak to recover from but somehow they find a way through. I loved how real all of this was. There was no glossing over things and making it all look easy.

I was not expecting that hell of a ride.
This series has been one unexpected turn after another. I loved experiencing everything Kandy and Cane went through. Their relationship was messy and crazy.
The author definitely put a lot of thought into every characters way of being, their reactions in certain situations, their limits on what they could and would accept. I did get to a point where the drama was just too much and it was irritating. Seriously what else could happen to these two and their journey? Other than that, I enjoyed this story and cannot wait to read Being Mrs. Cane.

So worth the wait! I love Cane and Kandy. They had lots to overcome in their love affair, and this story had my attention. I felt their emotions. This story had lots of obstacles, and some did not want to move easily. ❤️❤️❤️
