This colors-to-emotions book is sweet and simple. Could be a great conversation starter about both topics.

3.5 stars. Beautiful illustrations using emotive colors and scenes to connote a variety of feelings. The author doesn't spell out what feeling each color is meant to represent, leaving it up to the reader to decide which could lead to really fruitful discussions of discovery with children. In the end, the moral is that all colors have their place on the colors spectrum, i.e. all feelings have their purpose in your life so be free to feel them!

Soooooo white. It's incredibly ironic that a book about colors is just about white children. It's an interesting concept -- using colors to discuss emotions -- but if they're all white kiddos I'm gonna have to pass.

Love the illustrations and appreciate the message, but the text fell flat when read out loud.

Each spread offers up a color and a scenario, but leaves it to the reader to decide how to interpret the feelings. Would be a good discussion book - how does teal make you feel? how does teal make this person feel?

Tidy wrap-up that references feelings as a palette full of paint colors. Would be a good lead-in to a painting class where you had to paint a feeling.

I like the approach that a person is never just one emotion and I like the way this illustrator has chosen to describe emotions as colors. It's a beautifully done book

A nice way to introduce new color names and pretty illustrations. I guess it could be a good gateway to discussing feelings that each person on the pages has, but there's not a lot to the text.

Interesting choice of colors. I would have liked some diversity in the children.
