The Heat

Severton is a small town and just about everyone has lived there their entire lives. Rayah has always been Jonny’s ever-present help with his kids ever since the death of his wife. Jonny, the young widower with 3 kids, a demanding job on the fire brigade, a part of the search and rescue team, Rayah’s brother and cousins pal their whole lives, and the man who has always been there to rescue her from the time she was 6. Now their adults and the visuals have changed. They are no longer kids, but very attractive adults with real needs. Are they willing to sacrifice friendship for something special?

This book had so many good parts. I loved the romance, the friendship, and even the dabs of mystery and suspense that came with with it. Jonny and Rayah's friendship was something special even before any romantic entanglements, but Annie Dyer wrote their transition to romance partners perfectly. I felt like the transition was written so natural it almost felt like the book wasnt fiction. I loved this book and cannot wait till we get to see them in future books!

I have been waiting to read Rayah and Jonny's story since book 1.
Rayah has held a candle for Jonny from a distance.
A slow burn romance that smoldered and ignited.. a very good read that did not disappoint
