Age gap was a bit concerning

It’s hard not to think “the author should have known better” even though this was written in the 90s. There’s too much dubious consent, the relationship between Luke and Tasia isn’t super believable, and I have a hard time with Tasia and Emma only being 6 years apart (and so young). Nothing pulled me in so that I wanted to know more.

Review:
This was only the 2nd Novel ive read by Lisa Kleypas so i wasnt sure what to expect but i have to say i really enjoyed this one more then i thought i would especially since the spine and first page of this book didnt come off as CLEAN Romance but it surprised me by being very CLEAN Written.

This book definately gave off "The Sound of Music" Vibes.

The Characters were fun and enjoyable to read about. Miss Billings was definately my favorite since she reminded me alot of The Governess in "The Sound of Music" minus the singing.

The Setting was beautifully described which made me feel like i was actually in 1870 St Petersburg Russia and London England while reading, especially when the scenery was described.

Overall a Wonderfully written Book 1 in this Historical Romance Series!! Can't wait to read Book 2 soon!!

Ok read... definitely felt a little dated and felt in certain scenes ready to quit the book, but overall turned out ok.
