I also feel like we were left with a cliffhanger with the ending to some degree, I don't feel like all the ends were tied up.

Camille lives with her brother and father, they are struggling and her father is sick. Her brother gets tangled up with a drug dealer and is caught with Ecstasy in his backpack by a cop. Camille takes the fall for her brother and is forced to become a CI. She has had some bad luck and is trying all she can to get her brother a better life.
Her connection to Nero is deep and emotional. They had so much chemistry and were so vulnerable with each other.
This one is definitely more of a slow burn compared to the others, which I loved. I loved seeing the bits and pieces of Nero's family throughout. I found this plot to be more believable than the previous books.
Tropes: Good girl/bad boy, opposites attract, slow burn
Graphic: Cancer, Drug use, Misogyny, Sexual content, Death of parent, Alcohol, and Injury/Injury detail

She wants in on it so she can help pay her dadās medical bills, and pay for Vicās upcoming college. He eventually agrees. All the while both Nero and Camille are falling for each other, as the confide more and more in each other.
