I really enjoyed this book. It wasn't as dark as I was expecting though. The romance anyway. What made this book not five stars though was a few oddities I noticed. One of them was near the end, River says I love you to Theo in a text and they talk about it after. Theo says river's never said it before. But that's not true? He said it in a previous chapter so that was very weird. Then Theo's knowledge was inconsistent. He didn't go to school, can't read, is unfamiliar with many things in the world but one meeting with War he's able to tell and identify he was OCD? Doesn't make sense.
