This should have been up my alley, but maybe I wasn’t in right headspace. Beautiful imagery but spoke a lot and said little. Overall too disjoined, bit of a slog.

I was intrigued by the blurb but in practice I found this a really difficult and upcaptivating read, not helped by the slow pace and constant literary references.

Poetic, a good set of vignettes, sad. A little too overwrought and high-class, felt like you needed to have read Literature to get some of the reference being made.
