A very entertaining and enjoyable read. Fast-paced, keeps those pages turning like a well-oiled bank-note counter, a fantastic cast of characters, an extremely chaotic plot  and an exhilarating countdown towards the end, that kept me on the edge of my seat. Funny, witty banter and sarcasm permeated throughout the dialogue.
There are multiple threads to follow all skillfully woven together and all culminating in a confluence in a chaotic conclusion. I think the writing has weathered well considering it's been twenty-four years since its publication.
Overall, I couldn’t put it down, it was a blast!

Not my favorite Dave Barry book. It has his characteristic wit, but feels like he's trying too hard to emulate an author/genre. Or maybe he wrote the book on a bet from a bunch of friends while at a bar.

I read this book because it is the June 2021 selection of my local book club.

Not my kind of humor. I read it for my humor and literature class, and I understand why my teacher decided on this specific book, but it definitely isn't my favorite book I've ever read in an academic setting. I would recommend this book for people who really enjoy physical and potty-mouthed humor, but not many others.

Within the first couple of pages of reading this, it was familiar. I wondered if I had read this before. Turns out, this was made into a movie in 2002. The movie was pretty close to the book, until toward the end.

This book was funny, like laugh out loud funny.

I read this book in almost one sitting, it is one of the few books to make me actually laugh out loud, it was really good, (the movie was a not as good)
