I read this in college, in 2000 or so. I don't remember having any terribly strong feelings one way or another, and have since read some reviews that call into question the accuracy of some of the claims in the book. But, I randomly remembered it this morning and realized I hadn't added it here.

An incredibly thorough look behind the curtains at the history of the Beatles told by someone who was intimately part of it. Doesn’t delve much into the music itself, so this isn’t for you if you’re looking for analysis or studio details.

By the end, you’ll have loved and hated everyone who was part of their ridiculous journey.

I don't know how truthful this book is. There's plenty of outrageous stories and it reads like a gossip rag. It was a fun read, though.

This book came with the house we just moved into and so I decided to give it a try. I knew nothing about the Beattles beforehand, and found it hard to take all the 'facts' in the book seriously because it is written in such a conversational gossipy way. I did some fact checking afterwards and the main points are all accurate. There is a lot I still take with a grain of salt, but it was eye opening to know what life for the band was like.

This book was available at my local library when I was a teenager in the 90s. I must have read it about five times. It was my favorite book about the Beatles.
