Probably an improvement on the last volume as more things are starting to happen. The weird, slightly uncomfortable dynamics between the characters feel very real and (again) nostalgic. I like the element of Southern Gothic creepiness that are becoming more apparent.

As before, the character design is great. I'm struggling a little to keep track of many different characters though. I will probably put this one down for a bit and come back to it when I can dedicate full attention.

This one was even better than the first one. The ending was killer! I can't wait to find out what happens next! The art in this volume is better than in the first one. I love the distinctive physical features of the characters, as well as their personality quirks. Poor Cleo needs a bit of a backbone and I hope that in coming books she'll grow as a character and stand up for herself more.
