this was my first time reading a taylor jenkins reid book, and only because i saw that it has good sibling dynamics. even though i loved it i'm not likely to read another tjr book simply because the genre isn't for me.

this book is amazingly written. at one point i even shed some tears. there's not much going on for most of the book but it still was easy to read and somehow felt fast paced. maybe it was the dual timeline.

i do wish there was more chance for me to get attached to the characters though. besides nina we don't really see a lot into their minds.

Spoileralso, i still don't get why exactly jay was so mad at hud, i mean he was over ashley so what's the big deal?

like all of taylor jenkins reids books this book was kind of sad but i learned so many things
i also really liked the concept of this book (that the whole book was about one day)
it was kind of hard to read and to get into but i still really liked the book!
if you are looking for a sad, challenging and inspiring summer read, this book is perfect for you

The first half of this book was pretty terrible and I actually thought about DNFing it several times. It got better for the second half, as long as you accept that there aren't any actually likeable characters.

Taylor Jenkins Reid never fails. The Riva siblings characters are crafted in a way that makes you fall in love with them despite their flaws. I loved this book but was somewhat disappointed with the ending.

men are terrible lol.
i most enjoyed the plots concerning the core four siblings and, later, their plus-one. you'd think they be the majority of the plot, but there are a lot of subplots that have little-to-no bearing on the main storyline, and i understand wanting to make this gigantic party with all these interesting people feel more alive, but after a while i stopped caring and just wanted to skip to the Rivas. it was overall pretty good though
book cover discussion: the British one is so much better than that of the United States, like the pretty sunset/fire (👀) colors, the serif font. unfortunately it doesn't carry over perfectly to the square aspect ratio for the audiobook.
