the entire book felt like a random side quest featuring my least favourite character (harkat) with one singular revelation. why the hell is it the longest one in the series? and why is the series called cirque du feak when there's barely been any cirque since book 2?

Het verhaal neemt een compleet andere wending. Het lijkt dat De Oorlog der Littekens efkens in de kast wordt geplaatst. Maar ik vond het wel intressant en spannend!

More of a side quest to the previous 9 books, felt liking padding that only really linked in right at the end.

I really struggled with this one, and found the revelations very confusing. I don't see how younger readers would continue to understand it as the plot is getting very complicated.

Although one of my favourite characters is no longer a part of the story, and I spoiled Harkat's identity for myself by doing some late-night googling, this was a solid read/listen.
