The best parts were the initial interactions between Alexandros and the babies, they were just hilarious, in spite of him acting as a heel towards Katie.

This book was pretty good and it wasn't as cheeky as I expected it to be. I really enjoyed it and it was different compared to the other HP books. I liked the characters a lot and toddlers are always something I enjoy reading about. Can't wait to read more from Lynne Graham.

I really enjoyed this more than I thought I would when I first started reading it. At first, the H seemed like a real jerk who had no special feelings for the H aside from attraction and a need to legitimize his children.
I was particularly disgusted by the fact that he gave her his secretarial line as an emergency # when he left her and then removed her from the "list" of people allowed to talk to him after a month or two (apparently he figured if she was pregnant she would have called within that reasonable/logical time frame). Truth was she waited a few months longer because she was hoping he'd call her. Some may think that's wimpy, but I can identify. If I'd been dropped like a hot potato by my first lover, my pride may have forced me to hold out and I wouldn't have assumed that the phone# I'd been given had a set time limit on it.
But there are things that come out in the end that make you realize that not everything was at it seemed and I really couldn't judge the H too harshly. He'd acted like a clueless ass when it came to how women thought, but he had some legit reasons to leave her months before. The only thing I can blame him for was the self-destruct phone# and the cold/efficient way he cut ties. He should have explained things to her. Of course, he was ashamed of himself and guilt ridden - which proved he was human and capable of more sacrifice than I'd initially given him credit for. I just had him down as a serial womanizer, which wasn't really the case IMHO. I'm sure he'd indulged himself somewhat following his wife's death, but I think his behavior was far less shallow than it appeared on the surface.
I liked the heroine as well. Yes, sometimes I wished she'd not "melt" every time the H touched her, but this is a Lynne Graham. Plus she did put her foot down when it mattered. Which I don't think was a mistake or a manipulation on her part even though he seemed to believe it was. I think the H deserved it and needed it in order to truly see her side.
