BookTok made me do it. I wouldn’t have come across this book unless it hadn’t popped up on my feed. The premise was intriguing, so I gave it a try, and I… really, really liked it.
There are a few typos in the text, which is my ultimate pet peeve, but somehow it didn’t deter me. This is such a guilty pleasure of a high school contemporary romance, which isn’t my genre of choice at all. It’s addictive. The main characters act like teens, which they are.

So I saw the second book on tik tok and thought i had to pick this one up first to get the context on the relationship. was that necessary not really no but i had a good time. this book was okay but it got boosted by being set in high school. was it obvious what was going on, yes. was the protagonist annoying ignorant about the his love for her (yes) and was she mean for no reason (yes). had a good time though

I enjoyed this book. My only criticism is that the main character, Becca, kept calling girls pathetic (in the narration). I thought that was unnecessary. Other than that, I thought the book was great. I was engaged in the story. I loved it. I thought it had a great ending. Would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves YA novels. You won’t be disappointed. ❤️

erm ok idk man she was so harsh and oblivious and then they were together for like the last two pages? we didn't get to see any of their relationship when they weren't fighting and i guess that's what the second book is for but i'm not sure if i'm gonna read it. so 2.3-3 stars? honestly love Jake he was amazing everyone needs a friend like him
