So much fun!
Full disclosure: I know the author and her family, so while I am influenced, I can be very dispassionate when needed.
This book was charming. I like a little mystery with my fantasy and/or sci-fi, and this fit the bill. It’s out to entertain, not teach you a lesson which is exactly what I want in a summer, pleasure read.
The story progressed well, the characters were engaging, and the plot concluded nicely, but left enough for me to immediately acquire then next in the series.
If I had any complaints, it would be that I probably didn’t need quite that much detail about the layout of the dog gym, but that was 1/2 a page out of the entire book. Pretty good batting average!
I’m eager to start the next volume and find out what’s happening in Casper!
