I used to love Enid Blyton as a kid. And returning to her books again in my 20s was a nice little experiment in nostalgia but maybe maturity is realising Enid Blyton protagonists are annoying little bullies

Darrel Rivers, the main character, has a lot to deal with as head girl of her form and with the pressure of exams.

*ahem.* So I started rereading these because I had covid and my brain wasn't working, but I seem to be rereading the whole series now. I'm not gonna lie, I'm thoroughly enjoying myself.
