This is definitely a dark book. The description to details were right on point. I couldn't put the book down. Very well written

I received a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.
*Warning not intended for anyone under the age of 18. This book contains strong sexual content, abuse, rape, and violence.

Rose set out for a night out with her friends, but she would awake confused, tied up, and surrounded by strange men. Where was she and why was she taken? Kirk was on the inside, and took Rose on as his own "pet" in order to try and protect her from the other men. But Kirk was nothing like a savior. Rose was expected to lose her identity, her name, her words, her manners, everything to succumb to a life where her only purpose was to serve, do as she is told, or die. Rose had a fight in her and if she could learn to control her temper she might survive.

This was a lucky find for me. I was asked to review this book and I am so glad that I agreed. This was an amazing novel that had me speechless, cringing, in tears, and in a panic. I was shocked, I was horrified, and completely enthralled with the story. At no time during this book was I bored, heartbroken at times yes, anticipating what would happen next yes, but never bored. Each character was well developed, the basis is well developed and the writing style was creative and unique. It's not all sexual content, but a battle both internally and the battle that is happening around Rose and Kirk, and her will to survive and make it out alive. I will warn you, this novel is very graphic, so go into it knowing that this is a very dark story, and not some sappy love story.

If you enjoyed Twist Me by Anna Zaires or Hero by Leighton Del Mia you will fall in love with this dark tale as well. The next in the series is Bend, Don't Break and I believe is told from James POV, I will be starting that one immediately! Start this one when you have some time to read it all, I had a hard time putting it down, get ready for a new book to be obsessed with and be thankful that you aren't left with a cliffhanger!

Thank you so much to Skye Callahan for the opportunity to read and review this amazingly dark novel.

I’m writing my reviews backwards since I wrote my review for Bend, Don’t Break first. I may sound a little repetitive, but you’ll forgive me, right?

I read Irrevocable and Bend, Don’t Break back to back. One right after the other. I would suggest you do the same, if you haven’t. While Irrevocable can be read as a stand alone, going on to Bend, Don’t Break will give you more of Kirk and Silver, more answers, and take you beyond Irrevocable.

In Irrevocable, Silver wakes up held captive and being attacked by a group of men.

Kirk walks in on this and though the odds are not in his favor, he manages to get her away from the men (of his “organization”) without them further brutalizing her, essentially claiming her as his own slave.

That is as far into the story as I will go because I don’t want to spoil anything.

I can honestly say that if Irrevocable was a movie, I would have watched a lot of it from between my fingers. There were moments that I physically winced as we were brought into these scenes that I think could break the strongest of women. I was turning the pages fast and hoping against hope that somehow Silver would get out of there somehow. I mean, it’s a book, we’re supposed to have a HEA right? (I know, I know, not always.) I kept hoping that Kirk would find some place in his heart to be kind to her. He had to because he got her away from those guys. Or was it going to be like those guys except that he preferred working solo.

This book pulled on my heart strings so hard. It was amazing. I finished reading this and immediately pulled up Bend, Don’t Break (at that point, I completely understood the title to the next book in how it relates to the characters) and started devouring it. The characters in this book are so strong, both on the side of good and evil (or kind of gray). The “bad” guys were so twisted that I could feel their words and her reaction to the “games” that were played just through the writing.

I’m saying it again, it was amazing. I loved it! 5 stars from me. I want to devour everything Skye Callahan has written previous to this now.

Though I received an ARC through the tour (thank you), I also bought this one previously when it came out because I wanted to read it.

I enjoyed it. Definitely not light and fluffy. Couldn't quite figure out the "initiation" and why the men were allowed to keep favourites.

Irrevocable : An Abduction Dark Romance ( Serpentine Book 1 )
By Skye Callahan
5/5 Stars

This is an amazing story! It had my emotions all over the darn place!! Books that make you feel, are always the best ones.. well to me anyways!! Being this is sensitive subject these day, sex trafficking. But Skye did it in a respectful and classy way. And in my opinion… very realistic. It just a phenomenal story from start to finish!!
“ Silver” finds herself in deep trouble. But in order to survive.. she has to listen to her master’s every demand. Even if it’s something she doesn’t want to do.
Great job, Skye! I can’t wait to see what’s next!!

Wow. Just wow. I dono how to start this but this was my first dark romance read and boy wasn't it amazing! Skye Callahan sure knows how to write perfectly and keep the reader on the edge of the seat! I wanted to hate it when I started it but then the story picked up and I couldn't stop. This was truly brilliant!

Irrevocable by Skye Callahan
5 Stars!!!!!

Well now I am in total book bliss. I have once again found a new author and book series that has totally gripped me and held me from page one. This is a very unique genre to me and I am so glad that I have had the opportunity to read this. I found that this book was just the right amount of drama to keep me glue to the pages and yearning to find out what was gonna happen next.

The complexity of the relationship between ‏Kirk and Silver is very complex and twisted and dark. Even though the whole scenario of this book is a bit out of my comfort zone I really enjoyed it. This book is very dark and makes the reader come face to face with our world today. There are places out there that could be similar to the settings of this book and I found that I was putting myself in Silver's place trying to think about how I would or wouldn't act or react. I really look forward to reading more form this author and this series in future.
