I found this book very flawed. The story was stagnant, barely moved, and the characters were so unlovable it was hard to actually feel anything for them.
the whole idea of adopting a child just cause the woman was going to die so the man would have something to do made no sense, just giving a child issues before they even happen .the fact that they had a rape scene that later on was completely disregarded as nothing major and also the unnecessary description of the baby's genitalia made me feel super disgusted reading this book as well. Which is why I just could not enjoy it.
