This book sort of took me by surprise, although I'm not really sure why! It's pirates. It's slooooow burn. It's found family. The pacing was perfect. I just could not put it down. My heart was perfectly heartbroken over the cliffhanger ending.....I'm anxiously awaiting my order of book 2, which will arrive tomorrow, thankfully!

The problem with ebooks is that I didn’t know I was nearing the end (I don’t look at % read or location info) and now I’m mad it’s over.

Torturous Read
This book was amazingly frustrating because all I wanted was for our two MC's to be together. This was a wonderful adventure and I enjoyed every second of it even though Dix and Ben both irritated me on a daily basis for different reasons. I am so glad book two is already live so I can continue the adventure because I was not ready for it to be over at all. 50/10 would recommend!

SO GOOD!!!
This book is the best book I’ve read in a long time. The plot is gripping and it’s impossible to not fall in love with the characters. I’m just glad that I only have to wait a week for the next one because if not I would go mad.
