A fascinating spin on Peter Pan. Not just the trans!Pan angle (which is awesome), but also the way Chant explores the mechanics of Neverland: what's real, what real even means in a place like Neverland, and what happens to humans who stay too long. My nerdy, worldbuilding-loving brain is ALL AFIZZ!!!

Gosh, this book was so good. It was a little slow to start, but once it picked up, I couldn't put it down. Satisfying enemies-to-lovers arc, incredibly fascinating take on Neverland and the fairies, and a thoughtful exploration of non-accepting family. My only gripe is that it was so short, I felt like this concept had so much more room to grow. That isn't to say the story doesn't feel finished, but it does feel kind of rushed.

Fairytales retold but make it queer? Yes please!
I loved this book so much and I love the modern twist Chant put on. It’s the perfect queer, enemies to lovers, fairytale story that I wish I had read sooner and I wish there was more!

ARE YOU KIDDING ME I’m not crying you’re crying. Hook is one of my favourite characters to read/watch adaptations about and this delivered in every way possible. It is so soft and beautiful and tender, and the descriptions of Hook’s clothing are exquisite. I loved it.

Oh, the sheer homoeroticism of sword fights with your sworn enemy. What's that? They're trapped together and must trust one another to survive? I wonder how that's gonna turn out. Both parties having the 'oh, wait no, shit, god damn it, not HIM' moments? *chef's kiss* Peak enemies to lovers, unwavering support, and a happy ending!!!!! IM GONNA EAT THIS BOOK I LOVE IT SO MUCH, I will never stop talking about this book. P.S. no, there are no racist Native American depictions (@Disney)
