My only complaint about this version is Han Solo's spiel before the carbonite situation. It's just not the same having the iconic "I know" bit taken out. Come on now, the Han Solo we know is not the mushy sap we see in the book scene. For that reason alone I have to say the movie was better but heck if this book didn't put up a good fight.

Very interesting to read the novelization of the movie as it gives more background into the characters emotions. There are also some deleted scenes that didn’t make it into the movie that I found very interesting.

Unlike the other Star Wars novelizations I’ve read, this book doesn’t give any new details that we haven’t already seen in the movie. The writing was great though; it really got me into the story and the characters were portrayed just right.
All with all it was a quick and enjoyable read and even though I didn’t like it as much as the other novelizations, I still highly recommend it to all SW fans.
