The Rebel King is a strong sequel to The Kingmaker and I actually enjoyed it more! It gives all the political drama realness a reader could ask for with a subplot of kidnapping and murder. I love how this book showcases the connection between Lennix and Maxim and how we can see how deeply they care for each other. I appreciate that they build each other up and don’t make themselves smaller for the other’s benefit. I definitely would recommend this book!

The things I loved about this book, I really loved. The things I disliked about this book, I strongly disliked. 

Kennedy Ryan write romances beautifully. Nobody is doing it like her. However, I did find my attention drifting sometimes more than others. One of the things I strongly disliked was the ending. I wanted more. There was also definitely A Lot going on in this, but I found it engaging, entertaining, and well written.
