Aeneas has NOTHING on my darling Odysseus, ugh Aeneas lacks character and the accidental humour Odysseus seems to have. Oh and I feel like Virgil could’ve made his copy right less obvious

I read this book in Latin. And I must say Virgil is a writer I really like reading during Latin classes. It's written in a beautiful metrum, with lots of figures of speech and a wonderfull story. At the moment I am reading the odysee and it is fun to see that Virgil tot inspired by Homer.

3/5 - cool, but only really because of the fact that this was a book i read for class. i wouldve completely missed all the referential roman culture pieces without it.

Pretty interesting. Long winded in places, but otherwise enjoyable.
